The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the service of all Civil Processes within Guilford County.  These processes include Magistrate Summons, Civil Summons, Domestic Violence Orders, Claim and Deliveries, Writs for Possession (real and personal property), Civil Orders for Arrest, Juvenile Summons, Tax Warrants, Attachments, Writs of Executions (enforcement of money judgments), Child Custody Orders, No Contact Orders(50C), Notice of Rights, Criminal Summons and Warrants.

To be Served with a Civil Process:

Service Fees:

• $15 - in-state papers per person served
• $50 - out-of-state, US Courts and Federal Court papers per person served

*(We also require (1) original or true certified copy and (1) copy for each person to be served)

*All fees must accompany processes

Levy Fees:

• Personal Property: $1000.00
• Real Property: $750.00 plus $12.62 for registered mailing.

• Cashier's Check (NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED).
