Guilford County Sheriff B J Barnes has released the name of the individual that drown Wednesday, June 3 on McLeansville Road.

The victim 50 year old, Roseanne Marie Minton Tippett of 7695 NC Hwy 61N, Browns Summit, NC drown Wednesday after fleeing from a trooper during an interview.

Ms. Tippett while operating a moped had earlier ran through a roadblock manned by the NC State Highway Patrol Trooper.  She was rescued by the trooper and while being interviewed she fled and jumped back into the swollen waters of the creek.  The Trooper attempted a second rescue but was unable to locate the victim. The body was found a short time later.  The moped that she was riding was recovered this morning.
