Sheriff BJ Barnes with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reports on December 7th, 2008 at 0011 hrs, deputies responded to a 911 call at Taylors Store, 1610 NC 61, Whitsett, NC. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies determined that Mr. Bobby Lee Taylor, owner of Taylors Store was the victim of a homicide.

Preliminary investigation of the scene has determined the homicide occurred during the commission of a robbery. An autopsy at the NC State Medical Examiners office will be conducted on Monday. The cause of death at this time is undetermined, pending the autopsy.

No additional information is being released at this time until the cause of death has been determined by the NC State Medical Examiner.
