The most recognized section of any law enforcement agency is the uniformed patrol division. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is proud to service our citizens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Operations Bureau consists of Legal Process, Reserves, Staff Duty, Special Operations Division, District 1, District 2, District 3 and School Resource Officers.

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is unique in its jurisdictional structure. Jurisdiction is held anywhere within the county. However responsibility is shared with the City of Greensboro Police, High Point Police, Archdale Police, Gibsonville Police and the Kernersville Police Departments. If you live within the city limits then you will most likely receive law enforcement services from those agencies.
