Sheriff BJ Barnes with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Mohamed Hassanien Abdelaal, and his wife, Lovie Annette Dodson Abdelaal, of 5106 Windermere Dr, Greensboro, NC for conspiracy to commit a felony.

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that on August 18, 2009 the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jon Palmieri, 809 Bellview Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 for Solicitation of a Child by Computer to Commit an Unlawful Sex Act.

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Gaston County Police Department, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has arrested David Carroll Pittman of 108 Walnut Acre Dr. in Kings Mountain, N.C. for Solicitation of a Minor by Computer to Commit an Unlawful Sex Act.

Sheriff BJ Barnes with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reports that Joseph Domenic Salvatore, W/M, dob 09/08/1972 was arrested today, 3/4/09, by the Sheriff’s Office PICAC (Piedmont Internet Crimes against Children) Task Force.

Sheriff BJ Barnes with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reports that Christian Salvacion Almonte, who was arrested by Greensboro Police Department on February 25, 2009 for Solicitation of a Child by Computer, was arrested on Thursday, February 26, 2009 by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office ICAC Unit for Solicitation of a Child by Computer.

Combats Sexual Exploitation of Children Online

GREENSBORO, NC – United States Attorney Anna Mills S. Wagoner and Guilford County Sheriff B.J. Barnes held a press conference today announcing the funding and formation of a regional task force and new public service announcements designed to combat the increase in internet-facilitated sexual exploitation crimes against children. 

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office was one of 23 agencies in the nation which received a Community Oriented Policing (COPs) grant from the US Department of Justice. North Carolina was fortunate to receive 3 of the 23 awards. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office received the highest award in North Carolina and the 11th greatest amount awarded in the United States.
