On 2/2/2010, at approx: 12:29 pm, the resident at 4810 Moutline Dr., Greensboro, NC called 911 and reported her grandson was armed with a knife threatening to cut people. It was reported the residents had locked themselves in the house and the suspect was trying to get into the home.

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has located Jason Paul Aton, with the help of the Wrightsville Beach Police Department. On June 2, 2009, Jason Paul Aton was reported missing from his home located at 2874 Oak Ridge Rd in Oak Ridge, North Carolina.

Sheriff BJ Barnes with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office reports that thefts and burglaries from newly constructed, unoccupied residences or houses under construction have been increasing over the past year. Investigation reveals activity including thefts and burglaries by the same offenders may have been occurring for several months.

On Saturday, February 21, 2009, at approximately 2130 hrs, Forward Air Freight, Inc (FAF, INC) was the victim of a theft of a trailer from the back yard of the business located at 7609 Bentley Rd, Greensboro, NC.  The trailer contained 27 skids of Dell computers worth approximately $400,000.00.

On December 19, 2008, Sheriff BJ Barnes reported that deputies responded to a call to assist EMS with a fall of an elderly patient at 9102 Mariondale Drive, High Point, NC on December 14, 2008 at 0116 AM. Upon arrival, deputies and EMS found 72-year-old Julia Rhodes lying on the bathroom floor suffering from serious injuries.
